around the world.
Open discussion on teaching golf.
What is common sense golf teaching?
10.30am Morning Tea Break.
10.45am Additional Golf Rules test relating to every day play at all golf courses plus
handicap system.
Practical Communication skills and “The American Golf Teachers method”
Get Fit to Golf Chirofit program and your reports.
Why should Golf Biomechanics be used when teaching new students? What is a
duty to care?
12.30pm Break for lunch
1.00pm Forces in the golf swing and alternative swing theories.
Understanding fundamentals of the golf swing and Ball flight laws.
(What is PAAS)
Shot making mechanics (most efficient way of playing every conservable shot in
golf) Practical
3.00pm Afternoon Tea Break.
3.15pm Play nine holes of golf, each student will evaluate other students on course
management and report
Wednesday morning, report shall relate to students on course management
plus drawings of golf holes played.
5.00pm Finish days training
Wednesday 15th January 2014
9.00am Students submit report regarding on player’s course management. (How to
improve scoring)
Teaching the short game (putting, chipping, pitching, bunker play
Why is it important for golfer to be competent with timing, tempo and
consistency?
10.30am Morning Tea Break.
Discuss ten other teaching methods currently promoted to golfers. What works,
what doesn’t work?
Current video technology
Detecting swing faults and offering practical solutions for best results.
12.30pm Lunch break
1.00pm Club fitting and why it is important for all golfers to have a professional club
fitting.
Trouble shots, mental approach and best way to execute shot. (Practical
demonstration)
3.00pm Afternoon Tea Break
3.15pm Personal assessment – teacher and students shall do a personal assessment of
your golf swing.
Practice golf swing to eliminate faults.
5.00pm Finish days training
Thursday 16th January 2014
9.00pm Rules Test results.
Present and discuss homework
Psychology of Teaching
Marketing yourself as a golf teaching professional.
10.30pm Morning Tea Break.
10.45pm Design your future business plan.
Practical use of training aids and tools.
12.30pm Lunch break
1.30pm This is a hand’s on practical teaching test. You shall need to teach Grip, Stance,
Posture and Alignment to a group of students to a group of real students.
3.00pm Nine hole playing ability test at Gold Coast Country using limited clubs, this
playing ability test shall highlight your talents and course management.
6.00pm Finish days training
Friday 17th January 2014
8.30am Final playing ability test at Gold Coast CC, instructor shall outline challenge on
the day.
12.30pm Lunch Break.
1.00pm Verbal Teaching test & Shot demonstration test for each student. (Nine shot
drill)
3.00pm Afternoon Tea Break
3.15pm Total review of training and your ability to teach golf professionally.
4.00pm Test results – you shall have opportunity to discuss your individual course
results with Instructor.
5.00pm Finish days training and course.
There will be additional On-line training during the following week, which shall relate to your final results and achieving your course accreditation. Once you finish the course your instructor shall be available for ongoing support.
